Veggie Stuffing Recipe
The Baking Coach has you covered for Thanksgiving side dishes! We've got two recipes to share with you, the first of which is our spin on a hearty, flavorful classic.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 8-10
Ingredients
-
½ stick butter
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ½ cup onions, diced
- ½ cup celery, diced
- ½ cup carrots, diced
- ¼ cup fresh parsley leaves, cleaned and finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon granulated garlic
- Salt and pepper – to taste
- 1 pkg. bread cubes
- 1 ½ - 2 cups chicken broth
How to Make The Perfect Stuffing
Step 1: Melt Butter and Olive Oil
In a large saucepan, melt the butter, then add the olive oil to the pan.
Step 2: Sauté Vegetables
Add the onions, celery, carrots, and parsley to the pan. Season with garlic, salt, and pepper. Using a spatula or spoon, sauté until the vegetables are slightly softened and aromatic. Remove the pan from heat.
Step 3: Add Bread Cubes and Chicken Broth
Add one package of bread cubes to the sautéed vegetable mixture. Slowly pour in the chicken broth, stirring to combine. You may not need the full 2 cups of broth, so add it gradually until the stuffing mixture holds together. Your stuffing is now ready to enjoy!
How to Reheat Stuffing
Step 1: Prepare
Transfer the stuffing to a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish. Cover the dish with foil.
Step 2: Bake
Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30 minutes, or until heated through and golden on top.
