ABOUT BAKING COACH®
Baking Coach is a Baking Entertainment Company. We offer Baking Activity Kits and delicious ready-eat baked cookies using our own special recipes. We also provide in-person baking and cake decorating workshops, private lessons, and private baking or cooking events in Long Island, and the surrounding areas.
Baking Coach creates unique Baking Activity Kits, including our Patent-Pending Edible Cookie Dough Baking Activity Kits in 6 fab flavors: Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal Raisin, Birthday Sprinkle, Double Chocolate, Cinnamon Swirl, and Peanut Butter. Our Baking Activity Kits include most pre-measured ingredients to get your bake on, and all come with a link to a video where the Baking Coach will walk you step-by-step through the process. Unlike other baking kits, you still get to enjoy the baking process but we cut to the good parts by eliminating a lot of the measuring, guessing, and kitchen mess!
Baking Coach believes that the best ingredients, environment, and creativity are all part of the perfect recipe. We intentionally seek out the highest quality ingredients for our products.

ABOUT LISA BASINI

"I am a first-generation American. My mother and father were from the island of Malta. It’s one thing to be first-generation, but it’s an entirely different experience when no one has ever heard of your country.
I’m not going to lie — it was actually very cool, and it still is to this day. I learned simple baking and cooking from my Grandma, and more advanced baking from my Aunt Paula. My love for food comes from my mom and dad. Boy, did they love to eat... but don’t we all?
Baking is my best friend. It’s always been there for me — through the good times and the bad. It also helped me improve my reading, math skills, and time management. I struggled with reading, but my passion for baking — and reading recipes — helped me succeed in all my core subjects. The more I baked, the more I learned. I especially loved baking from the Better Homes and Gardens red checkered cookbook — it was my favorite!
But unfortunately, the more I baked, the more I destroyed my mother’s kitchen. She loved what I made, but didn’t love the mess. One day, she’d had enough and told me, “If you make another mess, you’ll never bake in my kitchen again.”
What she didn’t know was — on that day, Baking Coach was born.
I started eliminating bowls, shortening steps, creating my own recipes, and streamlining the baking process. My baking got better — and it became mess-free. My mother and father were my biggest fans and loved everything that came out of the oven.
One of my favorites was cookie dough. My mom would buy the Pillsbury cookie dough and say, “It tastes better uncooked — let’s not bother baking these.” And I said, “Wow, Mom, you’re on to something here!”
When it came time to create a product, I knew I wanted to offer a fun, mess-free, all-inclusive baking experience.
My own learning disabilities led me on this journey, and I wanted it to be for everyone, not just some. That’s why I employ individuals of all abilities, provide video instruction with ASL, and can include braille when needed.
I feel deeply connected to the differently abled community for many reasons.
First, I struggled with my own learning abilities. Second, my mother never fully developed fluency in English and suffered a traumatic injury during World War II that changed her life. And third, my son was diagnosed with autism at 18 months.
Today, I continue to provide baking workshops and kits to people of all abilities. In addition, I founded a 501(c)(3) organization called Recipes 4 Learning, Inc., which provides job skills training to differently abled adults. I also had the privilege of writing recipes and food styling for “Domino Sugar” for many years and developed a third company called Bake with Style, Inc. which provides recipe-writing and food-styling services, and have a certification in Pastry Arts from the Culinary Academy in Syossett, NY."
