First week of October and I can OFFICIALLY say it is “spooky season”! What is a better way to get into the Halloween spirit than to bake some spooky treats? Just be careful when you make these treats… You don't want to get a fright! Today we will be using one of the Baking Coach’s Edible Cookie Dough Baking Activity Kits to get in the spirit, so turn on your favorite spooky movie and let's get to baking!
HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED:
- 1 Baking Coach Birthday Sprinkle Cookie Dough Baking Activity Kit
- 1 Stick of room temperature butter
- 1 tbsp of orange sprinkles
- 1 tbsp of chocolate sprinkles
- 1 tbsp of purple sprinkles
HERE IS HOW YOU DO IT:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Take two cookie sheets and line them both with parchment paper. Place these cookie sheets to the side until you are ready to bake!
- Take a small bowl and pour in the orange, chocolate and purple colored sprinkles. Slowly stir your sprinkles together until the colors are mixed together.
- Open up your Baking Coach Birthday Sprinkle Cookie Dough Baking Activity kit. Lay out all of your ingredients on the table, you should have: 1 glove, 1 sheet of parchment paper, 1 large mixing stick, bag #1 of sugar, bag #2 with vanilla extract, bag #3 flour mixture and bag #4 of multi-colored sprinkles.
**We will not be using the multi-colored sprinkles in this recipe**
- Inside the Baking Coach Baking Kit bag, pour in the bag of sugar, vanilla extract and flour. Make sure the bag is sealed at the top with no air inside and start squishing the ingredients together in the bag.
- Open up your bag and add your room temperature stick of butter. Then, refill your vanilla extract container in bag #2 with water and pour that into the bag. Again, make sure the bag is sealed tight with no air and continue squishing the ingredients together for about 5 minutes. If needed, use your provided gloves to put your hand in the bag and combine the ingredients with your hand.
- Once everything is mixed together you should have no more butter clumps and the mixture should look like the consistency of cookie dough. Pour in your bowl of halloween sprinkles! Once again, while making sure the seal is tight, squish together your sprinkles to combine it into the dough
- Take a taste of the dough! This is EDIBLE cookie dough after all! You can stop here and enjoy some homemade and edible halloween sprinkle cookie dough or continue on!
- On the cookie sheets, divide the dough into 24 equal portions. You want to place each cookie about 2 inches apart. Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes (TIP: Look at the bottom of the cookie, if the bottom is golden brown, your cookie is ready!)
- Allow cookies to cool before enjoying, Eat and Enjoy!
