One week ago the Owner and CEO of The Baking Coach was featured in Long Island's local newsite, Newsday in their "Faces of Long Island" feature!

Basini goes back to her own childhood to recount to Newsday how she found her love of Baking. She states "I struggled in school. Reading was extremely hard for me, and my mom couldn’t help me because she was learning the language at the time. I always had a love of baking from my mom, grandma and aunt. Baking became an escape". With each recipe she would make, it helped her reading skills develop and become even stronger. However, like any parent, Basini was met with an ultimatum if she left her parents kitchen messy one more time. She knew she just had to find a way to continue her love of baking with a mess free kitchen.

30 years later, Basini took what she learned from creating mess-free recipes and decided to create a business plan for it. Introducing the Baking Coach! "I created Baking Coach in 2005 to share my love, passion and recipes of baking with the world.", Basini tells as she continues to explain the start of her company The Baking Coach.

Basini ends off with telling "Faces of Long Island" this one piece of advice for starting a business, "I started Baking Coach with $1,000. You do not need to have a lot of money to follow your dreams. It’s just a matter of believing in yourself.”
